Switchville Crossing, a mixed-use development on Highland and Wharton Roads in Abington Township, achieved top marks from Abington Township’s Economic Development Committee on Dec 14, when partners from Duke Real Estate Partners, LLC accepted the committee’s award for “Excellence in Site Development and Architectural Design.”

LA Fitness, Switchville’s anchor tenant, opened its doors to members on December 3. The 42,000 square foot health and fitness facility features a 25 yard, 3 lane swimming pool, state-of-the-art exercise equipment, basketball and racquetball courts. A Kids Klub offers babysitting services and makes it easy for busy parents to work out at the center.

A 40,000 square foot medical/professional office with ground floor retail and restaurant space, now leasing for a late 2011 opening, kicks off phase two of the development.  A 3,000 square foot outparcel is also available.

The three-story office building features hospital-sized elevators, ten foot high ceilings, and separate control of all utilities and communication services for each professional suite.
